Review: LUSH's Shine So Bright Hair Treatment.

Hi there,

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why I haven't already written this blog post...but better late than never.

Around Christmas time, I went a little bit crazy over the LUSH Christmas stock, so much that I still have a couple of 'Father Christmas Bath Ballistics' floating around my bathroom. Anyway, whilst picking out some of my favorites from the Christmas collection(on the website) I also decided to have a quick nosy around the hair treatments section. Nothing really stood out to me, until I saw a very over enthusiastic comment written under the 'LUSH Shine So Bright Split End Treatment'. It was only ten NZ dollars and this woman had claimed that it was some sort of holy grail miracle product, so I thought 'Meh, why not'.

When It arrived, I was shocked. It was the teeniest tiniest thing I had ever seen! And I instantly thought I had just wasted my money...but boy was I wrong! This product is incredible! I don't use it everyday, only when the ends of my hair are looking really dry and crispy. The smallest amount goes such a long way and I seriously can't believe how long it's lasted me. I've even gone out and bought a back up just in case I loose my first one.

If you have really dry and damaged hair, PLEASE try out this product! I have been swearing by it for so long now, so LUSH....please don't ever discontinue it. Thanks!

Mine is looking a bit rank now...it's just well loved.

Has anyone else tried it and LOVED it? Or ever tried it and hated it?

Review: LUSH Sunny Side Bubble Bar.

Hello everyone!

So the other night after eating waaaaay too much Ice Cream! To the point where I couldn't even move off the sofa...I decided to dive into my LUSH bag and see what I could use for a nice relaxing soak in the bath. After a good ol' dig round I found this! The 'LUSH Sunny Side Bubble Bar'. I bought it ages ago but must have just forgotten about it...Ooops! But now that I've used it let me just say, it was AMAZING! So here's a little review for you...

First of all, it smells incredible! It's very citrusy and fresh. It's almost like a cross between an orange and a lemon scent.

Now I'm not going to lie, before I used it I was a bit scared of the glitter. Only because after using the 'LUSH Shine So Bright Bath Melt' last Christmas, the glitter made such a big mess! Both me and the bath were covered in glitter for the next two days. But that wasn't a problem this time around. After draining the bath there was absolutely no glitter left and no glitter stuck to my body once I had got out.

Apart from the fact that it looked like I had wee'd in the bath, this was honestly one of the most luxurious baths I've ever had! The water looked as though it was mixed with essential oils and the bubbles were thick and packed with glitter. It was beautiful!

So if you haven't tried this already, please do! I'd highly recommend it! Although if you're buying online do open the packaging carefully to save yourself from being completely cover in glitter.

Has anyone else tried this Bubble Bar?

LUSH Valentines Cosmetics: Review.

Hello everyone!

The other day, my mum and I decided to do a bit of shopping and of course I had to make a quick trip into LUSH. Now when it comes to limited addition stock in lush such as Christmas and Halloween products, I always know exactly when there coming out and get super hyped up. But when it comes to their Valentines day stock I always seem to forget about it...so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a table full of pretty pink, sweet smelling cosmetics.

'The Kiss Lip Gloss'
 'Love Locket Bath Ballistic'
 'Close To You Massage Bar'

I didn't pick up too much as I was a little short on cash, but I did pick up enough to be able to have a nice relaxing pamper evening once I got home. So as I've used them all now I thought I'd give you guys a quick review.

The first product which captured my eye was the 'Love Locket Bath Ballistic'. It is hugeeee! As soon as I picked it up one of the ladies working there came bouncing up to me and said "If you break open the locket(bath ballistic) there's a smaller heart inside of it'. I was sold! How cool does that sound. But like the dummy I am, before my bath I forgot to crack it open and just chucked it straight in....oh well. Once it dissolved, the bath water turned pink and there were little paper hearts everywhere...so cute! It smells beautiful...in between a citrus and floral scent(I'm the worst person at describing smells). And the smell also lingered in the bathroom for quite a while, although sadly not too long on my skin. Other than that, I'd say it's a very luxurious bath ballistic, perfect for an indulgent Valentines day treat.

RRP: £6.95
The second product I purchased was the 'Close To You' massage bar. I LOVE massage bars so much! If you don't know what a massage bar is, it's a bar you use to massage yourself...(obviously), and they're just filled with loads of essential oils that make your feel skin silky smooth. This massage bar smells a lot like 'Creamy Candy Bubble Bar', which I love also. It moisturized my skin so well and the smell lingered on my skin for a good while. This massage bar is definitely one to buy for Valentines.

RRP: £5.50

And last but not least I picked up 'The Kiss' Lip gloss. I've never tried a lip gloss or lip tint from LUSH, so I was excited to try this one. First of all, it smells beautiful..really nice and fruity. I would say it's more of a balm than a gloss, even though it does give your lips a slightly sheen look as a lip gloss would. It's super creamy and the texture is a lot like a massage bar. And last but not least it leaves the slightest Pearly pink tint on your lips which I love! If there had to be one real downside, it would be that it's very hard to resist eating it while its on your lips...other than that I'm obsessed!
RRP: £5.75
So that is everything I got from LUSH...I was going to pick up the prince charming shower gel, but I found the smell to be slightly odd and I wasn't too sure whether it was my kind of scent...
But anyway I hope these little reviews now make you want to go out to LUSH and treat yourself. I'd definitely recommend all the products that I bought, and if you've tried any of their other Valentines day stock leave a comment saying which ones and if you liked them! :)

Left over Christmas Lush goodies!

Although I love shopping in Lush all year round, their Christmas stock has always been my favourite! And last year I got a little bit carried away...leaving me with some left over goodies!

Their were a lot of new things that I'd never tried before....so naturally I felt obliged to buy them all...and I'm not sorry...
Left over Lush goodies!

But anyway, moving on...
The products that I have in these pictures are what I was left with after Christmas:
- Christmas penguin bubble bar.
- Shoot for the stars bath ballistic.
- Golden wonder bath ballistic.
- Magic wand babble bar.
- Father Christmas bath ballistic.

The only two that I've used before are the 'Magic wand bubble bar' and the 'Father Christmas bath ballistic', which I both love!

The 'Magic wand bubble bar' smells very similar to the Snow fairy shower gel, just not as sweet. Its one of my favourite bubble bars from lush because the idea is you swish it around in your bath, it makes tones of bubbles and turns your bath water all pink and beautiful. Also you can get about four or five baths out of it.

The 'Father Christmas bath ballistic' is my all time favourite bath ballistic from lush! It has a really fruity smell and turns your bath water from bright red to green. I absolutely love it and I feel like not enough people rave about it.

I can't wait to try out the others, as I've heard some pretty good reviews on them!

Anyone else have any left over Christmas Lush goodies? :)
