Candy Yum Yum: Drugstore Dupe

Hello!

So, if you're a fan of the ever so famous Mac lipsticks, particularly Candy yum yum, you're in luck!
About a year ago, I took a trip to the UK, otherwise know as the land of insanely cheap makeup!
I'm sure to the people living over there It's not that cheap, but try coming over here! Wowee, the makeup is expensive! Even from the drugstore!
I went on a bit of a rampage whilst I was over there, and came back with about half a suitcase full of makeup. So what Sarah? Get to the point! Okay, okay!
The other day I was snooping around my makeup collection, finding new things that could definitely use a bit more love. And there it was! The Barry M Lipstick in No. 52 'Shocking Pink'!
So what? you may ask. Well, this particular Barry M lipstick happens to be the spitting image of Mac's much pricier Candy Yum Yum.

This lipstick is amazing! Not only is the colour spot on, but it's also matte like Candy yum yum, the staying power is just as good, and it's only a fraction of the price. So If you're into your Mac Lippies, or Barbie Pinks, I'd highly recommend you try this out!

Thank me later.

FOTD: Orange, Orange, Orange!

Hello Everyone!

I'm quite enjoying orange at the moment, which might explain my face...

I've never done a FOTD before, but better late than never right?
The main focus for this FOTD is the eyes and lips. OMG I'm loving orange at the moment, if you couldn't already tell. For about a year now I've had a beautiful copper/orange eye shadow sitting at the back of my make up draw just screaming out to be used, but I've never really liked the idea of orange around the eyes...until now! I was watching an old video of Shannon's aka Shaaanxo and she was rocking copper eyes! So I though "Meh, why not give it a go?" and I really like it!

What do you think?

Face
Not that interesting as I forgot to put on bronzer, blush AND a highlight....what a noob.

Current Favorite Lipstick.

Hello everyone!

It feels like ages since I've written a proper 'beauty' related blog post, so why not write one now.

A few months ago, when me and my mum went shopping, My mum picked up the 'L'Oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick in Radiant Orange'. Since then she hasn't really been into using it as bold lips aren't really something my mum feels comfortable wearing, and she thought the lipstick was much more subtle. So of course I took the opportunity to try it for myself. And oh wow, I LOVE it!

It's what I would describe as a 'Dark Frosty Orange', which wouldn't usually grab my attention, but it is so beautiful and moisturizing on the lips. It's also very unique. I've never seen a lip color quite like it. The only bad thing i really have to say about it, is that it smells pretty bad; almost like the type of make up your grandma would wear...if you know what i mean?

Like my mum, if you're not into bold lips I probably wouldn't recommend it....but if you're looking for a new staple bold lip...preferably for winter, I'd definitely suggest trying it out.

I'll leave some pictures here, but please excuse my 'Make-upless' face.

Review: L'Oreal Paris Infallible 2-Step Long wear Lipsticks.

Hello, to everyone who reads my blog!

Quite a while ago now, I was introduced to the 'L'Oreal Paris Infallible 2-step Longwear Lipsticks'. I have to admit, I am one of those people who will give into a product if the advertisement is really good, and after seeing the ad for these lipsticks I was sold! They claim to last 24 hours without drying or fading, and that just sounds great! So I decided to purchase a couple...

Shades '110 timeless rose' and '506 red infallible'

The lip balm on the opposite end.
I love trying out new lipsticks and lip lacquers, and every other lip product there is out there. I'm always trying out new ones, so when I purchased these they kind of ended up at the bottom of my bag while I was trying out others, and I completely forgot about them. But now that I've tried them I thought I'd write a review.

The lipsticks come in 14 different shades and are all paired with a lip balm to keep your lips hydrated during the day. The first thing I noticed about them is that there isn't actually an awful lot of product, so I'm not to sure how long or how many uses you'd get out of it.

When I got home to try it, I found the applicator really nice and easy to apply the lipstick with, although you'd definitely need a mirror handy because it really does stain your lips! Also I'd recommend using a lip liner. I really liked the way both colors look on my lips, but I wouldn't say they last 24 hours! Not with just one coat anyway. If you want them to last all day I would suggest lining your lips, then filling in your lips with the same liner. Apply one coat of the lipstick. Blot your lips, and then apply a second coat. Also make sure to keep applying the lip balm all day, otherwise you're lips end up looking dry, cracked and horrible.

Besides the little things like the minimal amount of product, it really is a nice lipstick/lip stain. They're super pigmented and last of the lips a very long time! Also they come in a nice variety of shades perfect for lots of different occasions. So I definitely recommend that you give them a go.

You have no idea how long it took to get a photo of them without my cat in the shot.

ARTDECO.

The other week as I was scrolling through Facebook and came across an 'ARTDECO' prize pack competition. Basically, all you had to do was enter your email, and two weeks later five people were picked at random, so why not? And believe it or not, I ended up being one of those five people! AHHH!

So anyway, I thought I'd show you what I was sent...

Nail polishes in No. '178' and '32'

Bronzing powder in No. '420.3'

Eye shadows in No. '517' and '316'
Lipstick in No. '457'

I had never herd of the brand before entering the competition, so it's quite nice to try something new. Although I haven't tried any of the products yet.....except for the lipstick which I adore! It's a beautiful pinky, browny, nude color(that's the best way of me describing it), It's really moisturizing and creamy, and super easy to wear! Also, it's the type of lipstick which you can build up, depending on how opaque you want it to look.

I can't wait to try out the other products and also look more into the brand itself as I'm really enjoying the lipstick!

Has anyone else ever tried out 'ARTDECO' products?
