Christmas and New Years

Hello Everyone!

I'm going to keep this blog post short and sweet, only because I have a ridiculously large amount of photos to go with it.

Christmas was amazing this year! We spent Christmas eve and Christmas morning with my sister and her fiance. Opening stockings, playing silly games and drinking the sweetest hot chocolate I've ever tasted! Which probably wasn't the best thing to have at 7:00am.

After spending the morning at my sisters, me, my mum, and Tom all made our way back home to relax and give out the last of our presents. It turned out to be a really good day and I got some lovely gifts!

New Years was a bit different. As my brother is the only person in the house who actually has a life, he decided to go out to a New Years Eve party, while me and my mum sat at home eating chocolate and watching YouTube....Oh what exciting lives we lead.
In all honesty though, it was quite nice to just stay in and relax on New Years for a change. I'll save the raging parties for next year.

OH!! How could I forget! 1 year ago today I wrote my first ever blog post! Woohoo! Thank you so much if you read my blog, it does mean a lot to me! So here's to another year of weird, random and occasionally insightful blog posts!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year!
Now here are some photos of what we got up to...ENJOY!

Christmas Is Coming

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Hello Everyone!

Although I am a big fan of Halloween, Christmas is always my favorite time of the year! Except for the fact that here in New Zealand it's boiling hot on Christmas day! It just feels wrong, you know? Christmas is 'stereotypically' filled with things like Snowmen, Christmas Robins, Bobble Hats and Scarves, Hot Chocolate by the fire, and of course the tacky Christmas Jumpers. But here in New Zealand, It's slightly different. It's about wearing minimal clothing to stay cool, cooking Christmas dinner on the BBQ outside, and building snowmen out of sand on the beach. I still find it bizarre, but hey...each to their own.

As it's getting closer to the big day, I though I'd take a few snaps around our house to show you how beautifully mum has decorated this year. Plus some bonus photos from when me and my brother filmed my Christmas video, which I'll also link below.

I'll be sure to take lots of photos on Christmas day as well!

Mum saw this on Pinterest. It's our Advent Calender this year.

Oh.

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas!

Where Are You Summer?

Hello everyone!

Usually, I'm definitely more of a winter person. I love layering clothes, drinking hot chocolate, keeping warm by the fire, and snuggling under a duvet to watch movies. But this year, I'm weirdly excited that it's summer. The only problem is, it's a bit late to the party.

We've had one of the coldest winter this year, not that I have any problem with that. So everyone was really looking forward to summer finally coming around. I just hasn't yet. Instead, we've had torrential rain, massive hail stones, a dark grey sky, and insane flooding! Honestly the flooding has been unreal! The cows down the road were practically swimming.

I'm hoping summer makes an appearance soon, for the cows sake.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014

Hello everyone!
Although I am a bit late to the party, I've finally managed to sit down and watch this years Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. And WOW! It really never fails to impress me.

People around the world tune in and watch it every year, all for different reasons. To see the beautiful clothes, or the talent that's performing. Or maybe just some inspiration to get your butt to the gym. *Sigh*

I love everything about it, but the thing that amazes me the most every year are the STUNNING outfits! There were so many incredible pieces this year, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you.

And can I just say...Taylor looked AMAZING!!

Even the dresses at the after party were stunning!

Does anyone else feel the sudden urge to order pizza and cry a little bit...?

My Old Stories.

Hello Everyone!

A few days ago I came home to see that my Angel of a mother had cleaned my disgusting excuse for a bedroom(Definitely one of the best things about still living at home). Believe it or not, I have managed to keep it clean.

Anyway, while rummaging through the array of old clothes and well...just rubbish really. I found this.

But Sarah, what is it?!?

Growing up I was always that kid who had my nose buried inside a book. I absolutely loved reading, and when I turned 13 I decided that I wanted to have a go at writing stories myself. And that's exactly what this folder contains.

I loved coming up with stories, although some of them were based on 'Real Events'. I must have found writing to be kind of therapy when I was having a bad day or when something specifically horrible was happening.
I remember sitting in the back of class brainstorming ideas and drawing book covers when I was suppose to doing school work. And then rushing home from school so I could work on them some more.

I had so many ideas! I'm not to sure how my 13 year old self actually came up with all of them, its insane! Out of all stories I had come up with, there was only one that I actually managed to finish. Reading it now brings back so many memories, and despite some awful grammar and spelling mistakes it's actually...alright?
You go 13 year old Sarah!

It was HUNDREDS of pages long and even had it's own front cover. In a short summary, it's about a girl who lives in foster care, after her father suddenly dies in a car accident. Unfortunately for her, her foster parents are nothing short of evil. After finding out she has family who are still alive she makes it her mission to find them and escape her horrible foster parents. It also addresses issues like Bullying, Peer Pressure and Boys. Ooooooooh.
13 Year old Sarah was so deep.

Growing up I loved writing these stories, and I still do love to write when ever I get the time. Hence me starting my blog.

Does anyone else have a burning desire to write?

Health and Fitness #8: Don't Give Up.

Hello Everyone!

Believe it or not, the healthy eating and fitness is still going...just at a very slow pace. Which is kind of what I want to talk about today.

So many people,(and I fall into this category) work themselves up and get ready to quit just because they're not seeing results overnight. If...like me, you're one of those people, we need to stop because it's ridiculous! And believe me when I say that nothing good will come out of it.

Maybe it is my fault for thinking I'm going to have a six pack after eating a salad...But I always end up on the verge of quitting and taking my sorry ass to McDonalds when I'm not seeing results after a week or two. Which is something I need to stop.
As much as we want it to be true, eating a few healthy meals and doing some light exercise wont bring dramatic results overnight, You have to work for the body and lifestyle that you want to achieve.

It is going to take a while, that's inevitable.
Don't keep falling off track just because you're not seeing dramatic changes all at once. I started my 'Attempt at a healthy lifestyle' in April, and if I hadn't been moping around back then because I couldn't see results, I'd probably be super healthy and fit right now. But unfortunately, because I'm impatient... I'm not.

If you're one of these people too, stop giving up! If you're eating healthy and exercising regularly, the results WILL come. You just have to be patient.

P.s. Sarah if you're reading this six months or even a year from now and you're still going in circles....JUST BE PATIENT...geezz!
